Less Pain
How does Power Ergonomics help reduce lower back pain (LBP) and other related disorders?
Many people have already found that discomfort and pain eases off or even disappears
completely when they shift from oppressed to elevated sitting and standing. This
does not necessarily mean that they have been cured, as the same people can usually

Power Ergonomics does not claim to cure ailments such as LBP. What it does do though is support the natural healing process by reducing the load in the spine and other joints. We know this makes sense, because we already apply this principle when we use crutches to take the weight off a broken leg.
It is possible to ‘treat’ back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and other disorders
indirectly by correcting the way we carry and use the body. But instead of treating
the problem where we feel it most (where it hurts), which is what we are used to
doing (treating the symptom), we focus instead on eliminating one of the ‘hidden’
causes -
While it is easy to predict immediate improvements in unified function (improved stability, control and strength) it is usually impossible to predict how discomfort or pain will be affected.
This is partly because the perception of pain varies considerably and also because people with painful disorders usually carry within them a complex mass of protective tension, the purpose of which is to prevent them from moving and causing more discomfort or injury. Correcting the body’s balance upsets these protective patterns. While one person may feel that the discomfort or pain just disappears, another may feel some tightness or that the pain ‘moves around’ before disappearing.
